Guiding is included for snorkellers and intro divers. If you’re a certified diver, you have the option of booking your dive(s) with guiding or without.

Important notes:
- All introductory and certified scuba participants must meet medical questionnaire requirements, and some conditions or medications may prevent you from diving. These requirements can be found on the operator’s Can I Dive? page, and we strongly recommend reviewing before booking.
- Queensland’s code of practice on diving states that for a single no decompression dive, you should not fly/go to altitude for at least 12 hours, or 24 hours if divers have had multiple dives per day for several consecutive days, or have made dives that require decompression stops.

8am: Check in and board the boat (Check in directly at the vessel AquaQuest @ B Finger Cairns Marlin Marina)
8.30am: Depart Cairns and receive safety briefings as we travel to the outer reef
10am: Arrive at first snorkel and dive site
12.45pm: Move to second site and enjoy lunch
1.30pm: Continue diving and snorkelling
3pm: Depart reef site
4.30pm: Arrive back in Cairns

What to say! We had an absolute blast on this trip. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef.
How can you explain the great barrier reef!? I can’t so you’ll just have to go yourself and experience this crazy place. It’s colourful and beautiful and abundant! I tried diving for the first time and wow. So worth it. I nearly didn’t do the intro dives option as it was a bit pricey but it was so totally worth it, and I’ve already been out again! The team at deep sea will make you feel super prepared before you get in the water, and I was surprised at how at ease I felt. (Also couldn’t believe they had prescription masks!!) Would definitely recommend this trip for anyone interested in trying scuba.
Had a great day on the reef. I’m certified so I’ve dived plenty of places, and everything was so spot on with Deep Sea Divers. Gear, team, info, location, sights all 10/10. Good food and snacks to keep you going, dive team with know-how and (obviously) the stunning great barrier reef all made it amazing. Even though the weather was a bit gloomy, everything went off without a hitch. Probably the smoothest day trip diving I’ve ever done.
The Great Barrier Reef is out of this world! Don’t miss it. I’ve done a few dives before, but this was the best yet. Saw so many different fish and ocean creatures (including a HUGE grouper and reef sharks!). Felt really comfortable with all the equipment and crew… everything was great quality and my dive guide definitely knew his stuff. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the Great Barrier Reef!
Thanks Deep Sea Divers! Had a blast out there. Even the boat trip was great, jetting out to the outer reef and chatting with the divers in such an amazing place! The reef was amazing too of course and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to see the life of this iconic place. Even though I just did the snorkel only option, as I was a bit nervous, I had the best time and will TOTALLY go back and try the dive with these guys. Can’t wait.

We had a perfect day and snorkelled at two fantastic reef locations. We saw a huge variety of marine life and colourful coral, including clown fish, turtles, sharks, a cuttlefish.
So peaceful snorkeling in the reef, get lost in your thoughts and in the moment.
Listen to the Humphead Wrasse eat the coral, a few of the Parrotfish and the Humphead Wrasse came up close to check me out. Face to face with them barely a few centimeters apart. You could pay for that sort of experience.
