Explore the Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, Shark Bay, Ningaloo World Heritage area, Monkey Mia Dolphins, Exmouth, Cape Range National Park, Karijini National Park and more with our one of a kind Perth to Exmouth and Karijini Return tour.

For this tour you will join the Why Not Bus Perth to Broome tour passengers for 11 days to Karijini, then at the end of the trip, part ways and travel back to Perth on the Why Not Bus.

After the signature route to Exmouth, spend two days in Karijini National Park. Be ready to hike and swim through the many gorges. This really is one of Australia’s most unique National Parks!

The trailer is armed with a kitchen, fridge, snorkelling gear, games, tents, sleeping bags and mattresses. All you need to bring is yourself, a sense of adventure and the desire to see the real Australia!

One thing’s for sure – WA will blow your mind and you’ll be glad you added it into your Australia travel plans!

1

Day 1

Perth to Pinnacles

Before we start our one-of-a-kind West Coast Tour, we set off to the local shops and stock up on food for our delicious home-cooked meals. We then head north towards Lanceling for our first stop, Sandboarding! We then continue driving and soaking in the impressive views along the Indian Ocean drive before exploring the Pinnacles desert. A short drive from there brings us to our campsite where we kick back for the night, watch the sunset with your new mates and enjoy a beer!

Day 2

Geraldton and the Pink Lake

We head to the beach for the morning or you can jump on an optional Sea Lion Experience before heading towards Geraldton and then the spectacular Pink Lake for some rad photo ops! Depending on the time of year we either spend the night camping at Lucky Bay or a Hostel in Kalbarri

Day 3

Kalbarri National Park

Hit the road and see the Scenic Kalbarri cliffs. Then explore the amazing Kalbarri National Park with a few hours of hiking to Nature’s Window and the Z Bend as well as a stop at the new Kalbarri Skywalk. In the late afternoon, we hit the road to our overnight stop by the river.

Day 4

Shark Bay

This Morning we drive into the World Heritage site of Shark Bay. Check out Shell Beach, relax and swim in the crystal clear water. Tonight, it’s time for a bit of luxury, staying in dorms at Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. After dinner and an amazing sunset, you can head down to the jetty and spot wildlife with your torch or kick back on the beach.

Day 5

Monkey Mia, Dolphins & Carnarvon

Wake up and walk 50m down to the water’s edge, it’s time to meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins. If you are lucky you will get to feed flipper his scaly breakfast! We hit the road mid-morning and travel to Carnarvon to resupply. The campsite is a short drive north of here where we will settle in for the night.

Day 6

Coral Bay

We roll into Coral bay and set up camp. There are now essentially two free days to explore, Snorkel the amazing reef, (Optional Fishing charter, diving, Manta Ray tours) or just sit with your new friends on the beach and enjoy this special place. Usually, things will kick off pretty early and by late afternoon everyone is ready to blow off some steam and party up! Truth or Dare anyone? Our campsite is 5 min walk from the beach and everything else in town. You will fall in love with this place the moment you arrive!

Day 7

Coral Bay

Extra free day in coral bay! Today you can really see the reef at its finest, only meters from the beach are huge coral formations and large fish. If you are lucky you might swim alongside a turtle or friendly reef shark! (Optional Fishing charter, diving, Manta Ray Tours, whale shark tours, stand-up paddle boarding, Quad bike tours)

Day 8

Exmouth

Today we get up to Exmouth, once there we head down to one of their amazing beaches for the afternoon. If the conditions are right you can try out a bit of surfing on some nice, chilled beginner waves or do some stand-up paddle boarding.

Day 9

Cape Range National park, Whale Sharks, Ningaloo Reef

Today we travel to the Cape Range National Park for a bit of hiking and a snorkel at the award winning Turquoise Bay. (Optional Whale Shark swim today) (If conditions aren’t right for surfing on day 8 but are good we can go for a morning surf)

Day 10

Exmouth to Tom Price (Karijini)

Travel inland to the red earthed heart of the Pilbara. Keep an eye out the window for wildlife and maybe even a cheeky dingo.

Day 11

Karijini National Park

Today Explore Knox gorge, Weano Gorge, Hancock Gorge and hike down into Kermits Pool for a refreshing swim. We also check out Oxers, Junction Pool & Jofre lookouts.

Food Fund Cash Please Bring $100 in cash for the Food Fund. If you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free then please let the driver know on the first day and we will ensure there are other options available.

Cold Weather May-Sept The first nights of the trip can be less than 5 degrees in Winter.

Please bring: Warm Socks, Beanie, Thermals or warm underlayers for sleeping.

Luggage Limits All Passengers may bring a daypack or small backpack on the bus as well as the following trailer luggage.

Trailer luggage We have a STRICT 15KG luggage limit applying to people returning to Perth. Please only bring what you need as we have limited space in the trailer. (Billabong Hostel will store your luggage if you book a night on return)

Phone Service Telstra and Boost mobile are the only providers that have coverage in all towns and service stations on the West Coast. regular service can also occur on the open road.
