This Byron Bay to Nimbin day trip on board the Happy Coach is packed full of fun!
You’ll soak up some incredible views as you head through the Byron Hinterland to the famous hippie town of Nimbin.
Often referred to as the Amsterdam of Australia, this town was made famous back in the 70s with the Aquarius Festival, which turned Nimbin into a hub of counter-culture hippie vibes – something that continues today and is celebrated at the annual MardiGrass Festival!
You’ll also stop off en route at some local favourites – Nimbin Rocks, which is a sacred site to the Bundjalung people, Killen Falls, and the Eltham Hotel where you can enjoy a cold Stone & Wood.
It’s a day full of fun times and alternative culture, just be careful with the space cakes!

The Happy Coach was a great experience. I’m backpacking on my own but wanted to experience Nimbin. I was picked up from my hostel and spent the day with lovely people. The tour was organised really well and the scenery was stunning!
